Hygiene Policy
At our dental office appointments for adults aged 18 years and older will consist of a comprehensive exam and a series of x-rays. Exams include a full mouth probe, patient education, and examination by the dentist. If you have received x-rays within the past 3 years, please bring them with you. Should you be unable to secure your existing x-rays, new ones will be taken.
Initial visits may not include a cleaning because our staff members must first determine your particular hygiene needs. We will respect your time and work hard to deliver all dental services within the allotted appointment time.
* Pediatric patients will receive a a comprehensive exam, a cleaning and x-rays when appropriate.
Patient Responsibility
We ask that you complete patient registration and health history forms prior to the start of your scheduled appointment. In the event that you are unable to complete the forms, please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your appointment to complete the necessary paperwork.
Dental Insurance
North Hills Dentistry staff is happy to file your dental insurance claims for services received, provided that you deliver current dental insurance information and a copy of your insurance card. Without this information, patients will be responsible for payment in full at the time of services. If you have secondary dental insurance, you are responsible for reimbursement filing, as this is not a service our office provides.
Payment Policy
Payment is expected at the time of your appointment for the portion of your services that your insurance does not cover. This includes any deductibles or coinsurance costs incurred.
Patients with dental insurance will not have any out-of-pocket expenses for routine hygiene visits. We accept insurance payments as payment in full for these services.
Dental appointments for services other than routine hygiene appointments will not be covered in their entirety. Instead, our office will provide an estimate of insurance coverage and subsequent patient responsibility. You are responsible for the payment of this portion at the time services are rendered.
Patients who do not have dental insurance, or those who are filing their own insurance, must pay the balance in full at each appointment. You will be given an itemized statement for services.
For our patients’ convenience, we accept cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and CareCredit. The latter is a dental credit card that allows you to finance dental services to make payments that fit your budget.
Cancellation/Emergency Policy
Please contact our office as soon as possible if you find that you are unable to keep your dental appointment. A $55 fee will be charged for a hygiene visit, and $100 fee will be charged for an appointment with our dentist if you do not provide at least 24 hours of notice for a missed appointment.
